BAND MANAGERS POLICIES |
- All requests for a band performance must go through the Bands Web Site “Book the Band”
- If you are a band member and were asked by a patron for the band to perform, please direct them to the web site or file a request via the “Book the Band” link for them.
- By filing a request for the band via the web site the request gets forwarded to: Band Manager, Pipe Major, Drums Sgt. Drum Major, Pipe Sgt and Band President.
Steps that follow a performance Request:
- Request gets reviewed by the Pipe Major and is given a Yes or No?
- The Pipe Major sends the band manager the approval.
- Band Manager sends out an “Event Request” to all members.
- Band members MUST reply if available or not.
- If it’s a MCFRS event and details are needed the Pipe Major will submit a Detail request for those members needed.
- Once the event roster is completed with the required amount of qualified performers the roster gets forwarded to the Pipe Major or designee of the event.
- A tune list, uniform class and report time and location E-mail will be sent by the Pipe Major or designee.
Upcoming events:
- The band will get several requests for band performances in a short period of time. An E-mail of “Upcoming Events” from the Band Manger will go out to all to inform of future events that are approved by the Pipe Major.
- Do Not Reply to the Upcoming Events E-mail. It is for informational planning purposes only. Wait until you get an “Event Request” before responding with your availability. Please Please Please respond, whether as a yes or a no.
- In a perfect world an Event Request would be send out 30 days prior to the event. Because we DON’T live in a totally predictable world we will still try to put the event out at the earliest possible date. This is especially critical when we need members detailed for the event.
- Upcoming Events can be viewed on the bands Web Site.
